The Foundation for Jewish Studies Presidents Day Study Retreat, Sunday, February
15 - Monday, February 16, 2009 featuring Dr. Edward K. Kaplan, Kaiserman Professor
in the Humanities at Brandeis University, will teach, “Abraham Joshua Heschel,
As Guide of the Perplexed” at the Pearlstone Retreat and Conference Center,
Reisterstown, MD. The Joseph f. and H. Max Ammerman Study Memorial Retreat.
Cost is $350/double, $250/single occupancy, prior to January 30; after January
30: $380/double, $280/single. This includes overnight stay with 4 lectures,
4 kosher meals. Program begins on Sunday at 11:30 am and ends at 3 pm. on Monday.

The next Bible Study Center sessions in “Re-reading the Book of Genesis” course
begins on Sunday, December 7 until March 1, 2009. The topic will be “Noah to
Abraham” and will be led by Gideon Amir. This course will meet every Sunday
except December 21, 28 and January 18, 10:30 am – noon, at the Dennis and Philip
